Day 19 of 30 · John 19

It is finished.

“When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar, he said, “It is finished!” Then he bowed his head and gave up his spirit.”
John 19:30 · World English Bible

The scourging, the crown, the cross, his mother watching. And then one sentence before he dies: *It is finished.* Not "I am finished." The work is done — nothing left owing. Your standing with God does not rest on how this week went. It rests on that sentence.

ONE LINE TO PRAY

Jesus, thank you. It is finished — help me stop trying to finish it myself.
