Both App Site
Guided Studies
August 2026
- SiteWork for the answer. A new kind of study at gospelcompanion.app/studies: read the Scripture, answer the questions yourself, then compare with the study’s answer. 58 studies at launch — Scripture walks (John 1, Psalm 23), “Defending the faith” training built from every examination claim, and verse studies on anxiety, hope, forgiveness, and more.
- SiteYour answers become your notebook. Written answers save straight into My Study as a note stack named for the study; progress is remembered per study and session.
- SiteFind everything faster. The site navigation grew animated Bible and Apologetics menus with every destination — and lost pages now land on a proper 404 with a lamp for the path.
The Study Desk
August 2026
- SiteSearch becomes a workspace. Look up any passage — or several at once with semicolons, like “John 1:1; Genesis 1:1; Colossians 1:16” — and the Study Desk opens: Passages, Threads, Words, and My Desk, all scoped to what you searched.
- SiteThreads. Every cross-reference of all your passages woven together — verses cited by two or more of them are starred, surfacing the connective tissue of the study.
- SiteWords. The Greek and Hebrew of each passage side by side, with shared vocabulary starred — tap any word for parsing, definition, frequency, and every occurrence.
- SiteThe Apologetics Corner, inline. A toggle reveals each verse’s arguments right under the text, and they open in a side panel — claim, answer, and Scripture — without leaving your study. The omnibox now searches the Corner’s arguments too: try “trinity” or “resurrection”.
- SiteSearch that behaves. Your search lives in the address bar — shareable as a link, and the back button always returns you to it. Press ⌘K (or /) to search, ? for the new search guide.
The Scarlet Thread & Study Mode
July 2026
- SiteExhibit XI: The Scarlet Thread. The bloodline of the Messiah from Adam to Jesus as a strand of DNA — the thread reddens as the promise narrows, from “seed of the woman” through Abraham, Judah, and David to Bethlehem.
- SiteStudy Mode in the reader. One tap (Λ) lays the original Greek or Hebrew under every verse as you read — each word tappable for its full story.
- SiteNotes without a verse. Write standalone notes in My Study — on their own or in a named stack — alongside your verse notes.
- SiteSearch polish. Multi-passage searches with ranges (“John 1:1-10; John 2”) now resolve fully, and recent searches can be cleared.
Make it your own
June 2026
- BothA real Gospel Companion account. Sign in — or create a free account in seconds — that works the same on the app and the site. “Join free” now sets up a full account, no longer just an email.
- BothHighlights & bookmarks, synced. Mark any verse in five colors or bookmark it on the site, and it follows you to the app. Your study lives in your account, not just one device.
- SiteVerse notes & note stacks. Write a note on any verse, and group related notes into named cases — like “Islam Notes” — to build a study you can come back to.
- SiteMy Study. One place for everything you’ve marked — tabs for Bookmarks, Highlights, and Notes, with quick delete and export.
- SiteVerse commentary. A new Commentary tab on every verse — Matthew Henry, Jamieson-Fausset-Brown, John Gill, and Adam Clarke, all public domain.
- SiteCompare versions. Read WEB, KJV, BSB, and ASV side by side in the Bible reader.
The Deluge
June 2026
- BothA new interactive exhibit on Noah’s Flood. The Ark drawn to scale against a person and a football field (with a common-vs-royal cubit toggle), the Genesis 7–8 chronology animated as a rising and receding tide, and a world map of flood legends remembered across fourteen cultures — their accounts arcing back toward Ararat.
- BothAn honest look at the evidence. The flood-geology case laid out plainly as a creationist reading of the rocks, and a straight answer on the “Ark found on Ararat” claims — including the ones creation scientists themselves have rejected.
The Book of Generations
June 2026
- SiteA new interactive record. The Bible's own chronology — the genealogies of Genesis 5 and 11 woven into a glowing tapestry of overlapping lifespans, the reckoning to Ussher's ~4004 BC with a Masoretic/Septuagint range, and the Table of Nations (Genesis 10) as an animated loom of light from Noah to the seventy peoples. Every age verified against the text.
- SiteOriginal-language study, round two. Frequency counts, full Liddell-Scott-Jones lexicon, audio pronunciation, book-filtered word search, chapter interlinear mode, part-of-speech coloring, and a Hebrew vowel-point toggle.
- SiteApologetics hub redesign — examinations now in a grid, and a Sources & Resources page listing every source behind the project.
