Agreement to Terms

By using Gospel Companion, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you don't agree with these terms, please don't use the app.

What Gospel Companion Is

Gospel Companion is a free mobile app designed to help believers:

• Read and study the Bible in 170+ complete translations
• Save bookmarks, highlights, and notes
• Track gospel conversations
• Access gospel-sharing resources and guides

The app is provided free of charge with no ads or hidden fees.

Your Account

To use Gospel Companion, you'll need to create an account. You agree to:

• Provide accurate information when creating your account
• Keep your password secure and confidential
• Not share your account with others
• Notify us immediately if your account is compromised

You're responsible for all activity that happens under your account.

Acceptable Use

You agree to use Gospel Companion in a respectful and lawful manner. You will NOT:

• Use the app for any illegal purposes
• Attempt to hack, disrupt, or damage the app
• Harass, threaten, or harm other users
• Upload malicious code or spam
• Impersonate others or misrepresent yourself
• Violate any applicable laws or regulations

We reserve the right to terminate accounts that violate these terms.

Content and Intellectual Property

Your Content: You own the notes, bookmarks, and conversation records you create in the app. You can delete this data at any time.

Bible Translations: Bible text is provided by third-party sources and is subject to their respective copyrights and licenses.

App Content: The Gospel Companion app, design, logo, and original content are protected by copyright and belong to Gospel Companion.

Free Service

Gospel Companion is completely free to use. We will never:

• Charge you to use the app
• Show you advertisements
• Require payment to access features

However, if you'd like to support the app's development and server costs, you can make a voluntary donation through Ko-fi.

Disclaimer of Warranties

Gospel Companion is provided "as is" without any warranties. This means:

• We don't guarantee the app will always be available or error-free
• We're not responsible if you lose data (though we try our best to prevent this)
• The app may have bugs or technical issues
• Bible translations are provided by third parties and we're not responsible for their accuracy

We work hard to provide a reliable service, but we can't guarantee perfection.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Gospel Companion and its developer are not liable for any damages arising from your use of the app, including:

• Lost data or content
• Service interruptions or downtime
• Any decisions made based on app content
• Third-party Bible translation accuracy

Your use of the app is at your own risk.

Changes to the Service

We may update, modify, or discontinue features of Gospel Companion at any time. We'll do our best to notify you of significant changes, but we're not obligated to do so.

Termination

You can stop using Gospel Companion and delete your account at any time by:

• Going to Profile → Delete Account in the app, or
• Visiting our Data Deletion page

We may also suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. If we make significant changes, we'll notify you through the app or via email. Continued use of the app after changes means you accept the updated terms.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes will be resolved in accordance with these laws.
