Jesus wept.

Lazarus has been dead four days, and Jesus arrived late on purpose. He tells Martha he is the resurrection and the life — and then, at the tomb, he weeps. Really weeps. Then he calls a dead man out by name. Hold both: he has power over death, and he cries at funerals. Whatever you've lost, he is not indifferent to it.
