Day 23 of 30 · Psalm 32

When you sin again.

“I acknowledged my sin to you. I didn’t hide my iniquity. I said, I will confess my transgressions to Yahweh, and you forgave the iniquity of my sin. Selah.”
Psalm 32:5 · World English Bible

Because you will. David tried hiding it, and it hollowed him out. Then he stopped hiding — and the forgiveness was already there. Confession isn't groveling to change God's mind; his mind was made up at the cross. It's coming home quickly instead of slowly. This psalm is the pattern.
