The seven cities John writes to from Patmos, in the order Revelation names them — a circuit a messenger could walk, starting at the port of Ephesus and running north, inland and back south. Sardis is filed in the place data under its Hebrew name Sepharad (Obadiah 1:20), which that source identifies with Sardis; the stop is shown here as Sardis, the name Revelation uses.
