About this route

Israel's route from Egypt to the plains of Moab, as the place names of Exodus and Numbers 33 give it. The line is drawn in the order Scripture lists the camps, but the ground is not settled: Mount Sinai has been identified with at least a dozen mountains, the sea crossing with several points along the Red Sea and the lakes north of it, and most of the camps between them cannot be located at all. Treat this layer as the shape of the journey, not a surveyed road.
