About this place

In Jeremiah 49:28,30,33, Hazor refers to a region in Arabia, possibly Ituraea, which was threatened by Nebuchadnezzar, king of Babylon. The prophecy in Jeremiah 49 describes the impending judgment against various nations, including Kedar and the kingdoms of Hazor. The inhabitants of Hazor are urged to flee and dwell in the depths of the wilderness to escape the coming destruction (Jer.49.30). This Hazor is not related to the Canaanite city or the towns mentioned elsewhere in the Bible.
