Who he was
Uzziah, also known as Azariah, was a Levite who served as a musician during the reign of King David. He is mentioned in the genealogy of the Levites, specifically in the lineage of Heman, the king's seer. Uzziah was a descendant of Kohath, one of the three main Levite clans. As a Levite musician, he would have been involved in providing music for worship at the tabernacle and later in the preparations for the temple services.
