Who he was

Tahath is mentioned in 1Ch.6.24,37 as a Levite of the Kohathite clan. He was the son of Assir and the father of Uriel. This genealogy lists the descendants of Levi, tracing the ancestry of the prophet Samuel and his sons. As a Kohathite Levite, Tahath would have been involved in the transportation and care of the sacred objects of the tabernacle.
