Who she was

Matred was a woman mentioned in the genealogies of the kings of Edom. She was the mother of Mehetabel, who became the wife of Hadar (or Hadad), the last king of Edom mentioned before the monarchy of Israel (Genesis 36:39; 1 Chronicles 1:50).
