Who he was
Achbor is named only as the father of Baal Hanan, who became king of Edom when Shaul died and was succeeded by Hadar (Genesis 36:38–39; 1 Chronicles 1:49). Genesis lists these kings as those who reigned in Edom before any king reigned over the children of Israel (Genesis 36:31).
