Mareshah

Who he was

Mareshah was a son of Mesha, son of Caleb, the son of Jephunneh, from the tribe of Judah. He restored and re-founded Hebron which had been given to his father (Josh 14.3) who removed the Anakim who inhabited it (Judges 1:20). Mareshah is mentioned in the genealogy of Caleb's descendants (1 Chronicles 2:42).
