Joel
Who he was
Joel is mentioned in 1 Chronicles 7:3 as one of the sons of Izrahiah, a descendant of Issachar. He is listed alongside his brothers Michael, Obadiah, Ishiah, and Shimron. The five brothers were described as mighty warriors and heads of their fathers' houses. The chronicler notes that during the reign of King David, their census records showed a total of 22,600 mighty warriors. This information highlights the military strength and leadership within the tribe of Issachar.
