Elam is mentioned in Nehemiah 10:14 as one of the leaders of the people who signed the covenant during the time of Nehemiah. The covenant was a solemn agreement to follow God's law and to support the temple service. Elam's presence among the signers indicates he held a position of responsibility and influence among the returned exiles.
