Baal
Who he was
Baal is mentioned in the genealogies of the tribe of Benjamin in 1 Chronicles 8:30 and 1 Chronicles 9:36. He was one of the sons of Abiel, who was a descendant of Benjamin. The genealogy traces Baal's lineage back to the patriarch Benjamin, showing his connection to one of the twelve tribes of Israel. Baal had several brothers, including Ner, the grandfather of King Saul. This places Baal within the extended family of Israel's first king.
