Amasai
Who he was
Amasai was a Levite who belonged to the family of Merari. During the reign of King Hezekiah, when the temple was being purified and restored, Amasai was one of the Levites who participated in this important task. The purification of the temple was a significant event in Hezekiah's religious reforms, as he sought to restore proper worship and eliminate idolatry in Judah.
