Amasai
Who he was
Amasai was a Levite who belonged to the Kohathite clan. He was a descendant of Kohath, the son of Levi. Amasai is mentioned in the genealogy of the prophet Samuel, indicating that he was one of Samuel's ancestors. As a Levite, Amasai would have been involved in the religious duties and services in the tabernacle or temple.
