How we know the date ISBE dates Abraham by his contemporary Hammurabi (Amraphel of Genesis 14); Ussher by the Bible's own numbers, placing the call at Ur in the autumn quarter of his year 2083 and the departure from Haran the following spring (1921 BC). Ussher's Annals (1650) gives 1922 BC (its year of the world 2083 a); ISBE's Old Testament chronology (1915) gives 1900 BC. The sources differ by 22 years; the year shown (1922 BC) is the one this timeline follows through this stretch, from Ussher's Annals (1650).
