About this place
Rehob was a city allotted to the tribe of Asher (Jos. 19:30) and designated as a Levitical city, given to the descendants of Gershon (Jos. 21:31; 1Ch. 6:75). However, the people of Asher did not drive out the Canaanite inhabitants of Rehob, so they continued to live among them (Jdg. 1:31). The exact location of this city is uncertain.
