The Valley of Lebanon is mentioned in Joshua 11:17 and 12:7 as part of the territory conquered by Joshua during the Israelite conquest of the Promised Land. In Joshua 11:17, it is described as extending from Mount Halak to Baal-gad in the Valley of Lebanon below Mount Hermon.
