About this place
Iye-abarim was a place where the Israelites camped during their wilderness journey, as recorded in the book of Numbers. It was located on the border of Moab, east of the Jordan River (Numbers 21:11; 33:44). The name "Iye-abarim" means "ruins of Abarim" or "ruins of the crossings." It was one of the last campsites before the Israelites entered the Promised Land.
