Uzzi

Uzzi was a Levite who served as an overseer of the Levites living in Jerusalem. He is mentioned in the list of people who settled in Jerusalem after the Babylonian exile. Uzzi was the son of Bani, from the descendants of Asaph, one of the main Levite clans responsible for music and singing in temple worship. As an overseer, Uzzi likely had leadership responsibilities for the Levites serving in the city and at the temple.
