Who he was
Shema is mentioned in 1 Chronicles 8:13 as one of the sons of Elpaal, who was a descendant of Benjamin. He is listed along with his brother Beriah as the heads of the fathers' houses of the inhabitants of Aijalon. Shema and Beriah drove out the inhabitants of Gath, but no additional details are given about this event or Shema's life.
