Who he was

This Pashhur is named only as the father of Gedaliah, one of the princes who heard Jeremiah tell the people that whoever went out to the Chaldeans would live, and asked the king to put him to death (Jeremiah 38:1–4). He is distinct from Pashhur the son of Malchijah, named in the same verse (Jeremiah 38:1).
