Who he was
Paruah was the father of Jehoshaphat, who served as one of the twelve district governors under King Solomon, according to 1 Kings 4:17. Each governor was responsible for providing provisions for the royal household for one month of the year. Jehoshaphat son of Paruah was assigned to the hill country of Ephraim.
