Omri
Who he was
Omri was a descendant of Benjamin, mentioned in the genealogy of the tribe (1 Chronicles 7:8). He was the son of Becher, one of Benjamin's sons. The genealogy in 1Chronicles 7 lists the heads of families and clans within the tribe of Benjamin. Omri's mention in this context suggests that he was a significant figure within his clan.
