Who he was

Nethaniah was a Levite musician who served during the reign of King David. He was the brother of Asharelah (or 'Asarelah', also called Jesharelah), who was one of the musicians appointed by David to prophesy with lyres, harps and cymbals (1Ch.25.2,12). These musicians were set apart for the ministry of prophesying, under the supervision of the king.
