Who he was

Nethanel was a scribe during the reign of King David. He was the son of Shemaiah (1 Chronicles 24:6). As a scribe, Nethanel would have been a trained writer and record keeper. He assisted in casting lots to divide the priests into their divisions for service in the temple (1 Chronicles 24:6).
