Who he was
Meshobab is mentioned in the genealogy of the tribe of Simeon in the book of Chronicles (1 Chronicles 4:34). He is listed among the leaders of the Simeonites during the reign of King Hezekiah of Judah. These leaders, including Meshobab, Jamlech, and Joshah, led a group of Simeonites who destroyed the remaining Amalekites and settled in their land.
