Who he was

Melech is mentioned in the genealogies of the tribe of Benjamin in the First Book of Chronicles (1 Chronicles 8:35; 9.41). He is listed as a descendant of King Saul, the first king of Israel. The genealogies indicate that Melech was the son of Micah and the father of Tarea.
