Who he was
Malchijah, a goldsmith, was among those who worked on repairing the wall of Jerusalem during the time of Nehemiah. He restored a section of the wall next to the house of the temple servants and the merchants, opposite the Inspection Gate and as far as the room above the corner (Nehemiah 3:31).
