Who he was

Jeush is mentioned in 1 Chronicles 23:10–11 as one of the sons of Shimei (or Shubael), a Levite who served during the reign of King David. In the organization of the Levites for temple service, Jeush and his brothers were appointed to various duties. The text notes that Jeush and his brother Beriah did not have many sons, so they were counted as one family in the Levitical divisions.
