Who he was

Jeush was one of the sons of Esau, the twin brother of Israel (or 'Jacob'), and Esau's wife Oholibamah, as recorded in Gen.36.5,14 and 1 Chronicles 1:35. He is listed among the chiefs of Edom who descended from Esau. As a grandson of Isaac and great-grandson of Abraham, Jeush was part of the Edomite clan that settled in the region of Seir.
