Who he was
Jether is mentioned briefly in the genealogy of the tribe of Judah in 1 Chronicles. He is listed as one of the sons of Jada within the tribe of Judah. The genealogies in Chronicles serve to establish the lineage and heritage of important figures in Israel's history and to demonstrate God's faithfulness to His promises through the generations.
