Who he was

Jerimoth is mentioned in the genealogies of the Levites in 1 Chronicles. He was the son of Mushi, who was a descendant of Merari, one of the three main branches of the Levites. The Merarites were responsible for the transportation and maintenance of the tabernacle's framework and related items during the Israelites' wilderness wanderings. Jerimoth's mention in the genealogy highlights the importance of the Levitical families and their roles in the religious life of ancient Israel.
