James
Who he was
James the father of Judas who was usually known as Thaddaeus to distinguish him from Judas Iscariot. He was the father of one of the Twelve Apostles chosen by Jesus, as recorded in Luke 6:15 and Acts 1:13. Beyond the name of his son, the Bible provides no further information about his background, ministry, or fate.
