Who he was
The husband of Shimeath, an Ammonitess, is not named in the biblical text. He is mentioned indirectly in 2 Kings 12:21 as the father of Jozachar (or Zabad, according to 2 Chronicles 24:26), one of the two servants who conspired against King Joash of Judah and assassinated him. Jozachar's mother, Shimeath, is identified as an Ammonitess, indicating that her husband may have also been an Ammonite or that she married an Israelite.
