Who he was
Hashabiah was the leader of the Levites during the reign of King David. He is mentioned in the list of leaders of the tribes of Israel who assisted David in organizing the kingdom. As the head of the Levites, Hashabiah would have been responsible for overseeing the various duties of the Levites in the religious life of the nation, including their service in the tabernacle and later in the temple. No other information is provided about this Hashabiah in the Bible. (1 Chronicles 27:17).
