Who he was

Ezer was one of the sons of Seir the Horite, who inhabited the land of Seir before the descendants of Esau (Genesis 36:21; 1 Chronicles 1:38). He was a Horite chief and is mentioned among the leaders of the Horite clans (Genesis 36:30; 1 Chronicles 1:42). The Horites were the original inhabitants of Seir, but they were later dispossessed by the descendants of Esau (Deuteronomy 2:12). Ezer had three sons: Bilhan, Zaavan, and Akan (Genesis 36:27; 1 Chronicles 1:42).
