Who he was
Ezbai is mentioned only once in the Bible, in 1 Chronicles 11:37. He was the father of Naarai, who was one of King David's mighty men. The mighty men were a group of elite warriors who played a significant role in David's military campaigns and in establishing his kingdom (2 Samuel 23:8–39; 1 Chronicles 11:10–47). Naarai, son of Ezbai, is listed among these mighty men, indicating that he was a skilled and valiant warrior.
