Cheran
Who he was
Cheran is mentioned in Genesis 36:26 and 1 Chronicles 1:41 as one of the sons of Dishon, who was a descendant of Esau. Esau was the son of Isaac and the twin brother of Israel (or 'Jacob'). The passages list the descendants of Esau, who became the Edomites, and Cheran is named among the clan leaders.
