Who he was
Chelub the Ishmaelite is mentioned in 1 Chronicles 27:26 as one of King David's officials. He was responsible for overseeing the agricultural workers who tilled the soil. This Chelub is distinguished from the Chelub in 1 Chronicles 4:11 by his Ishmaelite lineage and his role in David's administration.
