Azariah

Azariah, the son of Maaseiah, is mentioned in Nehemiah 3:23–24 as one of the people who participated in the rebuilding of Jerusalem's wall during the time of Nehemiah. He is described as repairing the section of the wall near his house, which suggests that he lived in Jerusalem and had a personal stake in the city's restoration. The rebuilding of the wall was a significant project undertaken by Nehemiah and the returned exiles to secure and strengthen Jerusalem after the Babylonian captivity.
