ARIANISM & THE BIBLE

In the fourth century, Arius of Alexandria taught that the Son of God was a created being — exalted above all creatures, but a creature still. His own letters survive, and the church's answer at Nicaea (AD 325) survives with them. Nine of his claims weighed against the Scriptures — with Arius's own words, the historical record, and the scholars called as witnesses. The largest modern body teaching a created, preexistent Son is the Watch Tower Society — see the Jehovah's Witnesses exhibit alongside this one.

“TEKEL; Thou art weighed in the balances, and art found wanting.” — Daniel 5:27
